Thank You!

Thanks to all of you for all you did for our show. It was great fun to watch the kids do so well.


Now the last of the work to be done is to move all the sets out of the trailer and into the warehouse. Monday night at 6:30 seems to be the best time to get that done. Please email me back (marlariley@comcast.net) if you can help. I need to know how many will be able to make it.

Update on Brooke Thomas

Brooke went to the emergency room (after the end of the performance- what a trooper! ) due to back pain she felt following her "fainting" scene. After x-rays, the diagnosis was whiplash and a few pulled muscles. She's on bed rest for a few days, and pain and anti-inflammatory meds. She thanks you for your prayers.

Please pray for a speedy and full recovery.

Pizza Tonight!

We'll be offering pizza at $1.50 a slice, or you can bring your own snack. If you are ordering pizza you need to give me the money at the beginning of rehearsal. Our snack/pizza break will be around 7:15.

Help Load Sets Tomorrow...

Hey everyone!  We will be at the warehouse at 9:15 tomorrow morning to load sets.  Jen, Patrick and Marla will be there and could do it, but it would be quicker with help.  It should only take around an hour....maybe 1 1/2.

Sunday: Rehearsal at First Church of God on 78th from 1-5 (maybe only to 4 if we lose too many actors). If you are only in the second act, you don't need to be there until 2:15 and only in the third act, you don't have to show until 2:45.

Wednesday: Be at Jefferson Middle School by 5. Be ready to put up sets, ready the prop tables,etc. CHANGE: I had told you to come dressed in full costume, but instead, come with your hair and make-up done and bring your costumes with you. I want to start rehearsal at 6 so we have a little time to help set up and then get dressed. ANY PARENT WHO WANTS TO STAY TO HELP WITH SETS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO STAY AND HELP. We may get done quicker that way and your kids will have extra time to rehearse.

Showcase!

I want to make sure you all know what's happening tonight. We will have class as usual...then at 7:00pm we will be seated for the 7:15pm Specialty showcase.

Please come with your makeup done, and your costume on!

Just wanted to remind you all that we are having an optional rehearsal at the CYT Office (6924 NE Fourth Plain Blvd) tonight from 6-8:30... we will be practicing our scene for the showcase tomorrow.

Week 10

Hello,

I hope you’ve all had a good week and maybe had a chance to enjoy the two shows going on “Alice” and “Aladdin”.

This week is our showcase. I’m a little worried because we haven’t had sound effects happen yet. And because the lines weren’t learned. PLEASE, work on your lines this week.

Remember, all of you who can, we are meeting at the warehouse at 6 – 8:30 on Wednesday both to practice the showcase part and to get our costumes. Those who can’t make it, I will bring their costumes to the Thursday class. Those who need to bring their own slacks, white shirts, shoes, nylons, etc. be sure to bring them Wednesday.

Also remember on Thursday to come with hair and make-up done. Casey and Katrina will be helped by Mrs. Thomas (there may be one other person who needed help, but those are the only two I can remember).

Tuesday -

Hey everyone,

I am going get a group of people to meet up at 1:00pm on Tuesday the 9th at the Fort Vancouver Library and we will then walk around downtown Vancouver and put up posters. This is just for anyone that wants to come and is not required for anyone. We will probably walk around until about 3:30 if you need to be picked up before then arrange for your ride to pick you up somewhere in on Mainstreet and we will get you there when you need to be picked up. Please let me know if you can make it and when you need to be picked up so that we can plan accordingly.

Extra Rehearsals - Optional

We are planning on an extra rehearsal on Sunday, March 14 from 1-5. This is not mandatory, but it would be best if everyone that can be there would show up. It will be at the CYT office on Andresen.
I'd also like to know if there is a willingness to practice on Wednesday, the 10th at 6:00 - 8:30 for our showcase the next day and to get costumes finalized. Again, this is not mandatory, but would be helpful.
Please get back to me (marlariley@comcast.net) as soon as possible for me to make the arrangements.
